# Vuka OS 0.1 Dawn (Seven) — RC12

RC12 is the first clean candidate that combines the corrected Vuka identity, Vuka/Seven desktop, independent Seven 4.4.0 runtime, unrestricted Vuka root extension, Ollama 0.31.2, OpenCode 1.17.19, Wine 10 with 32-bit support, Wine Mono 9.4.0, Wine Gecko 2.47.4, installer and live-USB persistence in one audited ISO.

## Artifact

- File: `vuka-os-0.1.0-dev-amd64.iso`
- Size: `9032183808` bytes
- SHA-256: `1c09612e86a765f6909f2f4ffac4bc5763c0e95fa1c53e502deef203bfb1ead8`
- ISO source commit: `a671c40f81a820a0ad437f3c383253354a1168ba`

Write the ISO to a USB flash drive as an image with Rufus or an equivalent raw-image writer. Do not extract the ISO onto the drive. For persistence, follow `docs/USB-PERSISTENCE.md` after writing the image.

## Verified in RC12

- Clean build and independent outer hash.
- Complete embedded integrity manifests: 836 SHA-256 and 836 MD5 entries.
- BIOS, UEFI and isohybrid boot structures.
- Vuka media and installed identity with explicit Kali Linux rolling attribution.
- BIOS graphical Plasma session with Seven and the optional companion starting exactly once.
- Actual OVMF/UEFI menu and graphical-session boot.
- Two-boot live-USB persistence workflow.
- Exact live filesystem Windows suite: x64, x86, .NET, Direct3D 9, MSI install/run/uninstall, isolated prefixes, Mono, Gecko and Vulkan diagnostics.
- Clean installation to a blank 48 GiB virtual SSD, GRUB installation, ISO-detached reboot, installed Vuka/Seven/Ollama/tool audit and unrestricted UID-0 extension call.
- No credential, personal Seven state, builder path or build-only staging payload in the ISO.

## Important boundaries

- Seven remains an independent upstream release. Vuka integrates its published wheel and does not vendor or alter the Seven repository.
- Seven is intentionally not sandboxed. Its graphical process runs in the user's session and its Vuka extension has disclosed unrestricted UID-0 control through a root-only local socket.
- Ollama binds to `127.0.0.1:11434` by default. No model weights are silently downloaded.
- Wine improves Windows application compatibility; it does not include Windows or guarantee every application. Kernel drivers, Microsoft Store/UWP software, many anti-cheat systems, current Microsoft 365 desktop and Adobe Creative Cloud remain unsupported or unreliable.
- VM evidence does not replace physical checks for audible speech, camera, microphone, Bluetooth, suspend/resume, HiDPI/multiple displays, hardware GPU performance, robotics, SMB/RDP peers or removable NTFS media.
- The complete Windows fixture matrix passed against the exact ISO filesystem. A supplementary installed-qcow2 rerun is not claimed as a pass because first-prefix initialization exceeded its 900-second software-emulation timeout; see the preserved evidence report.

See `docs/BUILD_EVIDENCE.md`, `docs/ACCEPTANCE.md`, `docs/KNOWN-LIMITATIONS.md`, `docs/SECURITY-PRIVACY.md`, `docs/SEVEN_INTEGRATION.md` and `docs/WINDOWS-COMPATIBILITY.md` for the full evidence and operating model.
